Iron and Railway Museum
Located in Les Grandes Forges, the Vallorbe Iron and Railway Museum, about 30 minutes from Yverdon-les-Bains, tells the story of its industries and their importance for the development of the City of Iron. The sound effects and real-life atmosphere of the forges captivate children and parents alike.
Pro Natura Centre Champ-Pittet
The Pro Natura Centre Champ-Pittet is situated in a historic building of the 18th Century, on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel in Yverdon-les-Bains. It forms the entrance to the largest lakeside marsh in Switzerland, the natural reserve Grande Cariçaie, and welcomes and informs visitors of all ages.
6 km from the French border, the Vallorbe caves are the biggest in Switzerland. Created by the River Orbe, the impressive geological formation consisting of stalactites, stalagmites and limestone columns, enhanced by skilful illumination, is one of the most beautiful in Switzerland and Europe.
CIMA Museum - closed
! The CIMA is closed due to the reunification of the 3 museums until the end of 2023, beginning of 2024 ! In the 19th century, many industries and specialised craftsmen established themselves in Sainte-Croix, the capital of music box. Since December 2020, “know-how in watchmaking and art mechanics” have been listed as intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
Romainmôtier Abbey Church
