The Combe Marendaz cellar is in the village of Mathod, between Yverdon-les-Bains and Orbe. It is part of the Côtes de l’Orbe AOC designation, boasting young and dynamic vintners such as Valérie Marendaz who took over the estate from her father, Daniel.
Both father and daughter are passionate about wine and work hand in hand in these 22-acre vineyards located between Mathod and Suscévaz. They vinify approximately twenty wines: three whites, one rosé and a lovely range of reds. Sparkling wines, the estate’s specialty, complete the range of wines on offer. Brut, demi-sec, brut rosé, brut impérial and sweet red are produced with traditional methods.
The Marendaz family is certified by Vaud Oenotourisme. It offers cellar visits where you can discover the estate’s wines and terroir products. Groups can also attend a tasting course, on request. Offering a capacity of 50 persons, the cellar can be rented for events at the attractive rate of CHF 150.
