Since the Museum of Arts and Sciences was opened in 1972 in Sainte-Croix in the Yverdon-les-Bains region, local people have continuously donated their treasures and objects relating to their past to its collections, creating a rich heritage precious to the residents of the music box capital.
The Museum of Arts and Sciences now includes collections of objects relating to local industry, crafts and local history as well as works of art and souvenirs brought back from distant journeys.
Its collections include notably the prestigious paintings bequeathed by Dr. Camille Jaccard, now beautifully restored. This museum records the history of a whole region and also includes a fantastic collection of Bolex cameras and motion picture cameras from the time of the Paillard factories.
