Musée suisse de la Mode – Espace Robert Piguet

Swiss Fashion Museum - Espace Robert Piguet

Created in 1982, the Swiss Museum of Fashion (MuMode) organises temporary exhibitions at the Castle of Yverdon-les-Bains. A unique cultural must for all "fashionistas".

Born in Yverdon in 1898, Robert Piguet is regarded as "the Prince of Fashion". His fashion house (1933-1951), located at the Rond-Point des Champs-Elysées, dressed the great personalities of the day, including Edwige Feuillère, Gabrielle Dorziat, Edith Piaf and the Egyptian Court. Robert Piguet did not design his own collections, but hired promising young designers such as Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, Castillo and Marc Bohan. He also created perfumes, Bandit in 1944 and Fracas in 1948.
The MuMode collection houses around 12,000 garments and accessories dating from the 18th century to the present day. The museum offers temporary exhibitions, tours of its reserves, as well as events and workshops. Programme and information on our website.
