The road with wheel ruts between Sainte-Croix and Vuiteboeuf is enhanced by five didactic panels that have been erected along the path.
This historic road, which is very well conserved, takes walkers for a hike of two hours, starting at the station of Sainte-Croix.
Formerly, the Via Salina used to be a key passage for the transport of salt from the French salt mines of Arc-et-Senans and Salins-les-Bains to Yverdon-les-Bains, Bern or Bex.
Starting at the station of Vuiteboeuf, the estimated walking time is two and a half hours.
