Legendary for its breathtaking view, the Creux du Van is a natural rocky, amphitheatre-shaped cirque between the cantons of Vaud and Neuchâtel.
A four-hour walk starting at the Les Rochats restaurant, takes hikers to the Creux du Van. Along this rocky wall, which has been sculptured by nature, the fortunate walkers will be able to see chamois and ibexes.
The walk may be shortened by starting at the Chez les Favre carpark, an hour’s walk from the Creux du Van. It is also possible to drive directly up to Soliat, the alpine restaurant, just five-minute’s walk from the rocky cirque.
