With its steep cliffs, a humid end to the valley and flat areas on the crests, this walking route through the Menthue Valley takes walkers through an idyllic landscape in the heart of a protected forest reserve. The 7km circuit, mostly shady, is sure to provide a breath of fresh air.
Set in the Menthue Valley, this route is a favourite among sporting folk seeking to strengthen their capacity surrounded by nature. A true haven of peace, this trail has existed for the last fifty years in an unspoilt area, home to deer, salamanders, dragonflies and more. Absolute silence, interrupted only by melodious birdsong. Hikers will be charmed by the freshness offered by the river and the shade of the trees.
Along the trail there are picnic places and a covered area to offer walkers a welcome break.

Easily accessible from Donneloye, Cronay or La Mauguettaz to Yvonand (Casino car park), the circuit can be extended by 7km. The change in altitude is of about 400m in all (200m on the way up and 200m on the way down).
