The Galerie Zwahlen will present André Kasper's exhibition, ''Réel en scène'', in its premises in Orbe from May 27 to June 25, 2023.
André Kasper, born in 1963, is an independent painter based in Geneva. Since 1994, his work has been the subject of two dozen exhibitions in Switzerland and one in Brussels, which were very well received. In 2010, the Musée de Carouge devoted an important retrospective exhibition to him, as well as an extensive monograph, Le Quotidien Lyrique. In the same year, he made a film with the filmmaker F. Preiswerk about his painting practice, Cuisine de Paysage.
His passion for Rome led him to live there for several years. Much of his work bears witness to this.
His painting, of a virtuosity without ostentation, stages current subjects, with a particular touch of humor, irony, gravity, poetry and lyricism which impart to this daily life, which he brushes in warm colors, an air of spectacle with multiple entries whose backstage are not forgotten.
