The Royal Cinema
The Royal Cinema is situated in the centre of Sainte-Croix - a town recognized as the world capital of musical boxes. Since 1st January 2003 it has been independently run by Adeline Stern.
The building is an old cinema theatre that has been almost completely renovated. With its large foyer and adjoining dining room, it recreates the legendary cinemas of the past for film lovers who enjoy a nostalgic atmosphere. The cinema can seat up to 262 people and offers 4 different films each week, carefully chosen to appeal to a wide public.
The cinema also organizes various events throughout the year, reflecting newsworthy happenings in the film world. These include encounters with directors, producers and film personalities; a night devoted to short-length feature films; a film festival etc. A special children’s programme is also organized in partnership with « La Lanterne Magique » (The Magic Lantern Association).
