Gourmet Saint Valentine with poetry
Every year the private apartments of Grandson Castle are the venue of a special Saint Valentine celebration combining a candlelight dinner with music or poetry readings.
The lovers’ festival is said to have been created by the master of the premises, Othon III, who introduced the custom of choosing one’s beloved on Saint Valentine’s Day and of celebrating the event with poetry readings.
Grandson Castle thus perpetuates this tradition, proposing lovebirds the delights of a candlelight dinner accompanied by music or poetry readings in the sumptuous setting provided by the castle’s private apartments.
