La Traverse
The panoramic La Traverse train takes passengers back and forth between Yverdon-les-Bains and Sainte-Croix, with a magnificent view all along the way over the Lake of Neuchâtel and the mountain chain of the Alps.
The train, with its restaurant and bar, can welcome between 30 and 60 people for a coffee and croissant, aperitif or meal. The trip can be lengthened if necessary by adding a stop-over at Trois-Villes, a small picturesque railway station which offers an extraordinary view.
It is also possible to arrange package deals that include both the train trip and other activities. Possibilities include a walk through the Gorges de Covatannaz, Chasseron ou Mont de Baulmes; a cycling expedition on a trail that has been prepared and marked by Travys; or a snowshoe outing, by day or by moonlight, during which participants can also enjoy a fondue in a high alpine shelter.
Information
- A train is available for private hire (CHF. 900.- maximum 44 people) with a two hour stop in Trois-Villes.
- A fondue is available (or a choice of other dishes), prepared by either the participants or a caterer.
