Regional Specialties Without Borders Festival
The idea of using the border line between two countries as a starting point for a bi-national fair came from both the French and Swiss.
The “Festival des Terroirs sans frontieres” is a weekend fair that is organized at the Grand’Borne customs, on the border between the two countries. Both French and Swiss exhibitors display artisanal goods, local gastronomic specialties and regional wine selections, in a very appropriate setting.
At the fair, some 80 exhibitors display their goods, share their know-how and propose various activities in a lively, animated ambiance that encourages sharing and discovery.
The communes of Sainte-Croix and Fourgs have worked together to make this event a success, with the help and support of their respective Tourist Offices. Thanks to their collaboration, the festival has been organized under one roof, allowing visitors to stroll freely around, crossing and re-crossing the border - not only between two countries, but between two sets of different tastes and traditions.
