Andrés-Missirlian hall
The Andrés-Missirlian hall, which is situated in the Bourg square of the medieval city of Romainmôtier, only two steps away from the 12th century Roman abbey church, is dedicated to contemporary art and classical music.
The Andrés-Missirlian hall shows work not only by confirmed artists but also by young talents, eager to experience their first public presentation. It’s a sort of a laboratory or workshop for contemporary art that exhibits artworks produced both locally and from further afield. Furthermore, a series of recitals is regularly organised, featuring works by François Couperin and Johann Sebastian Bach. The main idea at the Andrés-Missirlian hall is to mix and present different kinds of artistic expression influenced by the past in a contemporary context.
